Frozen's Anna Cape

I finished my oldest granddaughter's crochet Anna's Cape for her Halloween costume.  I promised pictures and here they are.   I plan on making my youngest granddaughter a dress that resembles Elsa's dress.  The top will be crochet and the bottom tulle.

Disney's Frozen

To say two of my granddaughters are obsessed with the Disney movie Frozen is an understatement.  If you have seen the movie you will understand some of this post.

Jeze, who is 2, will randomly start “singing” her version of “Let it Go”.   She just repeats the words Let it Go.  She does have the melody down pat.

Cailee, who is 6, is a fan of Anna. For Cailee’s birthday she was given a costume of the dress Anna wore in the movie.  She can't wait to be able to wear it.   Her mother had to hide it twice to stop her from asking to wear it to school.

So my daughter asked if it was possible to make Cailee a cape like Anna had in the movie to go with the dress.   Luckily I did find a free crochet pattern for the cape.  I also found another cape pattern that suggested the perfect colors in Lion Brand’s Vanna’s Choice Yarn.  No hobby or yarn stores are in the area.  So I ordered the yarn and it arrived this week.

I was looking today and saw a toddler costume that the top is crochet and the bottom is in tulle. If done in light blue she could be Elsa.  So I may have to make Jeze a costume as well.  We will see how much yarn is left.  I may have to order more.

This is my current project to finish before Halloween. The girls want to wear the outfits then.

Guess I will be busy this fall.
